Hospital & Institutions
The Staten Island Area H&I sub-committee has been serving Staten Island's detoxes, rehabs, crisis centers, and state prison for over 20 years. H&I was created by the groups of NA on Staten Island to carry our life saving message to facilities where potential members have limited access to regular NA meetings. A special presentation is brought to various treatment facilities by members of the Hospital and Institutions committee. We are not affiliated with any of these institutions nor do we endorse any of them. We work in strict cooperation with these professionals so that any addict may get the chance to experience the life saving message of Narcotics Anonymous. NA members who wish to join the committee are required to attend a learning day, train with an experienced H&I member, and meet the clean time requirement of 6 months.
